This is a still-growing collection of songs, each inspired by and dedicated to a specific critically endangered species as defined by the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species. The proceeds from each song go to organizations responsible for conserving the species that inspired the song.
Take a look at the manifesto for more information, but it all basically boils down to: these animals are dying off, and I want people to love these animals, because I love these animals, so that they don't die off!
Buy these tracks on Bandcamp! If you'd like to make general donations, donate to me on PayPal with a message denoting which organization(s) of the ones involved in my project you'd like your money to go to, or if you'd like to simply donate to me so that I can continue doing what I'm doing with the project. If you can't donate money, tell your friends! Also, just... listen to the music. It's amateurish for sure, but give it a chance. Maybe it really touches you and inspires something in you to take action, or maybe that's a load of hippie nonsense, but it doesn't hurt to try!
That's a good question! There's a great piece by marine conservationist Carl Safina that I (mostly) agree with, and it articulates the biggest reasons why I care about wildlife conservation better than I ever could. I highly recommend taking the time to read it.
Nope! At least, not until this page accumulates enough traffic for that point to be reached. If you'd like to help bring that about, yell about this page on the street or on the Internet! Thank you!
